Wireless Wave Keyboard and Mouse Combo
Logitech
Price: $$
Having a wireless keyboard is a great way to make work feel less rigid and more comfortable. It can help make your desk setup better at home, as well as improve comfort when working on the go. Though it may not be a direct productivity booster, having a reliable and working keyboard that doesn’t cause hand or wrist pain is one way to approach online work while avoiding distractions. Most ergonomic keyboards will do, but this model from Logitech has a 4.5-star rating and great reviews.

Aura Blue Light Glasses
Spektrum Glasses
Price: $
Blue light glasses can make looking at screens slightly better, meaning less headaches and less eye strain. They are a great product to use if you spend hours on your computer because they’re easy to wear and allow you to stay focused for longer bouts of time. Personally, I notice less squinting and fewer headaches when I wear my glasses, even with my brightness low and night shift settings enabled.

Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder
Jade Leaf
Price: $
Matcha has become increasingly popular in the last few years; you’ll now see it on cafe and Starbucks menus year-round. It’s a powder created by grinding green tea leaves—high in chlorophyll and amino acids—before whisking in hot water and then combining with milk or water. The result is an earthy tea with a range of focus-boosting benefits, including L-theanine, which can help to reduce stress and anxiety. Matcha also contains caffeine, more than green tea, yet less than a cup of coffee. The caffeine, when paired with L-theanine, produces a relaxed focus state—essentially the energy you’d get from coffee without the jittery feelings or afternoon crash.
21 Day Habit Tracker + Weekly Planner
Swift Wellness
We love a planner and habit tracker, and we’re not too shy to mention Swift’s own 21 Day Habit Tracker + Weekly Planner. The 100-page habit tracker is compatible with digital devices or can be printed if you prefer traditional pen and paper. The planner has monthly and daily views, as well as habit tracker pages—all of which are customizable and spacious for all of your reflections. The layouts of each page are roomy, too, (each day is spread over two pages!) so you won’t have to be selective about what you include.

Pop It Fidget Toys
Genuvi
Price: $
Pop-It toys and designs are created with focus and distraction in mind. The variety of fidget toys can help a wide range of people—restless children, those with ADHD, and people with anxiety. I like to use a Pop-It ball while I work to keep my hands occupied. The benefits are twofold: if I play with the ball while in a meeting, I’m better able to focus on listening to the speaker, instead of navigating to other tabs on my computer. Second, the ball helps keep my hands occupied so I’m not tempted to fall into the old habit of biting my nails. Pop It toys are cheap, fun, and easy to carry with you if you also find them helpful in social settings. They’re great to have on hand during meetings, or in stressful situations, like flights or waiting in line.

Be honest: how often do you feel bogged down by digital clutter? Think of your email inbox, photos, downloads, screenshots, apps, alarms, saved text messages, browser tabs… you get the idea. BackBeat PRO 2 Headphones
Plantronics
Price: $$$
Noise canceling headphones are a surefire way to improve focus, especially if you’re easily distracted by noises. Working in public may present a problem, but headphones like the Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2 can make focusing on your work a breeze. These headphones are what I reach for on a daily basis and I like that you can turn the noise canceling feature on and off, which is useful in certain situations like cooking or walking when you do want to hear your surroundings. The headphones have a charge that can last days of regular use and are wireless, but have an aux cord port if you don’t have Bluetooth available.

Multi Cube Timer
mooas
Price: $
Do you work better in short spurts? If so, try using a physical timer to stay focused. If you’ve ever used a timer to speed through house chores (like emptying the dishwasher or tidying a room), you’ll recognize this tactic. Simply set a timer and see how much work you can get done. This may be 10 minutes of answering emails or an hour of deep work. The point is to dedicate a certain amount of time to one task and then reward yourself with a break. A physical timer is nice because it’s constant, whether you work outdoors, on the move, or on several screens at once.

Focus Mushroom Capsules
Functional Synergy
Price: $$
Prolonged focus is a great tool, but sometimes we need a little help achieving it. That’s where CBD can help. These capsules are a “ blend of CBG and CBD, married with the functional power of Lion’s Mane and Cordyceps mushroom.” The capsules claim to boost energy “as well as improve focus and cognitive function.” CBD can be a great tool for a balance of relaxed feelings and productivity; however, these capsules don’t ship to all states so check before purchasing.

Wired Headphones
Apple
Price: $
This last tip may not work for everyone, but a huge part of WFH is avoiding distractions. If you find yourself working one moment and doing laundry the next, this one is for you. Using a pair of wired headphones while you work may feel like 2015, but the benefit is that they keep you at your computer. You simply can’t get up for a snack without the cords reminding you that you’re tethered to your space. I use this trick when I’m about to hit a deadline or in tandem with a timer to double down on a deep focus session.
